A bit about us

Why did we start the MOTIF Association of Arts and Culture?

The answer is both simple and layered. We noticed there is a void in the art community.

We had many opportunities as individuals to be surrounded by artists driven by their passion for art, living true to the "art for art's sake" motto. MOTIF was born from the desire to bring artists from around the world together in hopes of inspiring local artists and reintroducing classical art to individuals who may not typically identify as art enthusiasts, as well as helping art enthusiasts quench their thirst for classical art.

Moreover, we recognize the struggles that artists and art students face when striving to pursue art as a career. Over the years, we've witnessed countless artists forced to turn their backs on their passions due to the lack of supportive programs and the challenges of finding a place in the professional world. We hope to be the supportive base for artists in Canada.

  • Our mission is to promote and spread various art forms, such as Theatre, Opera, Ballet, Dance, Music, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Sculpture, and Literature. It seeks to contribute to the development of these fields in Canada, support emerging artists in their journey to success, and introduce different art forms to the masses by organizing events, festivals, and conducting research.
